CLASSIC ESTATE LIVING
GRACEFUL LINES, LUSH SPACES
Privacy, outdoor entertaining and play areas for children and dogs were priorities for this stately family home within the city.
A sizable addition to this historic brick house added needed living space. The landscape design comprised of attractive plantings to soften the architecture. A warm and welcoming cobblestone courtyard and main entrance are shielded from the road by dense hedges.
At the rear of the house, a terrace with an outdoor kitchen provides generous space for outdoor living and entertaining. A formal axis of Yoshino Cherries under planted with perennials leads to the lawns beyond while adding seasonal interest and fragrance. At one side of the property, a fishpond, set in informal plantings, enhances the play area for the children and their dogs.
